Discounts

Getting a rebate off of trades with villagers can be helpful in obtaining items that are difficult or gruelling to obtain. Here are the ways to obtain a discount when trading with the villagers.

Keep Trading

The most straightforward way of getting a discount from a particular villager is to trade frequently with him. Although the trades might not that satisfactory, but every discount counts especially in the early game.

Winning a Raid

A raid happens when a player enters a village with the "Bad Omen" aura that can be obtained by killing a Pillager. This results in multiple waves of infiltration by Illagers trying to kill any innocent villagers in sight.

Tips before starting a raid is to wait for the villagers to go to bed at night and seal all the doors and windows to make sure that no villager and Illager can get in touch. Besides, spawn enough Iron Golem might be a helpful in combating the overpowered Illagers.

After winning the raid, players will get "Hero of the Village" aura and enjoy splendid discounts with the villagers village-wide for a period of time.

Curing a Zombified Villager

It is quite uncommon to stumble upon a Zombified Villager by nature. However, we can "artificially" make one by intentionally lure a zombie into a villager or vice versa and the zombie will infect the villager and turning them into one.

It will take a Splash Potion of Weakness and a Golden Apple to cure a zombified villager and the process takes around few minutes and can be catalyzed by placing beds and iron bars around the curing zombie villager.

After the villager is cured from infection, place down a working block of choice around the villager and wait for it to pick up the profession. The villager will generously give discounts up to 99% as their appreciation.
